WHO/WHAT IS CHARLIE?  April 4, 2014

Welcome to my first blog for Charlie, The Humorist. Charlie is a humorist who writes and performs his stuff. His books and performances are a combination of memoir, poetry and short prose pieces. Humour, as you all know, is comedy in slow motion. It doesn't demand that you spit up in your beer, although you can if you want to. A small grin and a feeling that, hey, I could have done something dumb like that would be enough. His pieces see the magic in the everyday and, as someone once wrote of him, contain "a sweet irreverence".

So far this year, he is performing at the SpringWorks Festival in Stratford on Saturday, May 17 at 2pm at the Gallery Stratford. He is also performing in the Hamilton area in September and in London in October.

Performances in the Hamilton area:   1. Westdale public library, Hamilton, Tuesday, September 16, 7pm
                                                        2.  Sherwood public library, Hamilton, Wednesday, September 17,
                                                              7pm
                                                        3. Ancaster public library, Ancaster, Thursday, September 18, 7pm

Performances in London:       1. London public library, Landon Branch, Saturday, October 4, 7:30  pm

It would be great to see you there. Remember: A bit of a chuckle is good for the soul.
